The banners of Westeros - Game of thrones

Back in the bygone days of 2015, I was living in Portland, Oregon in a misguided attempt at…I don’t know. After a year and a half I was struggling pretty badly with undiagnosed depression. I had been out of work for a while, and had recently finished A Song of Ice and Fire (aka Game of Thrones books) and wanted to read them again. Those who’ve read the books know how many families there are in Westeros.

I was also playing Skyrim for the 6th time and generally wasting my life. I also wanted to draw again, something I let go of back in my childhood.

I went to the local Fred Meyer and picked up some Crayola colored pencils and Sharpies. I had three rules for the drawings:
1) They had to follow the description from the source material,
2) I had to finish no matter how bad it got
3) I couldn’t start another until I finished the last one.

The early ones were rough and mistake ridden. The Stark banner looks more like a grey corgi racing over an ice white field, as opposed to a direwolf.
